Defect
Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. (Ferrara) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Inferno and Igniter vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.
Risk / consequence
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect the rail threads, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 7, 2021. Owners may contact Ferrara customer service at 1-800-443-9006.

ON APRIL 30,2021, FERRARA FIRE APPARATUS RECEIVED COMMUNICATION FROM CUMMINS ABOUT RECALL 21E-032 FOR L9 AND ISX12 ENGINES. ON MAY 4 2021 IT WAS AGREED THAT FERRARA FIRE SHOULD FILE A PART 573.
