Chronology of events
- February 2022
Continental Tire 573 Saftey Recall Report 22T-006 provides the following chronology: February 2022: CTA filed a Noncompliance Information Report (NHTSA ID 22T003) to initiate a recall of the complete ContiScoot tire line because of potential tread groove cracking. During the investigation, CTA evaluated and performed endurance testing on additional motorcycle tire products. February - April 2022: The additional endurance tests revealed further products from the Continental tire lines TKC80, ContiGo!, K62, and LB which are sensitive to developing groove cracks. April 29, 2022: CTA made a determination that noncompliance on various products exists and therefore decided to initiate this recall.
