Defect
Rosenbauer America is recalling certain 2020-2022 Avenger, 2017-2024 Commander, 2020-2024 Warrior, 2023 Commercial F-350, F-550, 108SD, and 2024 Commercial 114SD vehicles. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
Risk / consequence
Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
Remedy
Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 22, 2024. Owners may contact Rosenbauer America customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

11/15/23: Rosenbauer was notified via a Teams Call with our IDEX Account Manager.
- Nov 15, 2023
11/15/23: IDEX sent a list of impacted nodes by serial number and invoice date.
- Nov 16, 2023
11/16/23: Rosenbauer started investigating how to pinpoint the impacted trucks by asking Engineering and Materials how these are tracked.
- Nov 17, 2023
11/17/23: Rosenbauer started analyzing the proper inventory transactions to find which trucks are impacted. A follow-up call with IDEX was arranged to ask for more clarifying information. It was decided that Rosenbauer needs the PO #s that were used to purchase the impacted nodes.

11/29/23: A reminder was sent to IDEX to obtain the PO #s.

12/4/23: We verbally reminded IDEX.

12/11/23: Email received from IDEX with PO #s. Unable to process that data set.

12/12/23: Received electronic spreadsheet of PO #s and SNs.

12/13/23: Data analysis started to tie recalled SNs to trucks.
