Defect

Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2024 Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The seat limiter may not have been installed, allowing the seat to move too far forward. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk / consequence

A seat positioned too close to the air bag can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and install a seat limiter as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 17, 2024. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.

Chronology of events

1. Nov 19, 2024

   11/19/2024, during random quality audits we discovered some seats in certain converted WAVs did not have the seat limiters installed · Determined scope of potentially affected units. · Met with level 1 group 11/20/2024 44 units were found to be potentially affected. Final decision of non compliance determined 11-21-2024.
