Defect

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain Ametek MCP and ECP water pumps. The impeller shaft may be loose, causing the pump to fail.

Risk / consequence

A pump failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Nova Bus will inspect and replace the pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 30, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is ER25510.

    October 09, 2025: Nova Bus submits a foreign recall report to NHTSA and advises that a voluntary recall will be performed for vehicles in Canada.

    November 21, 2025: Nova identified that 3 US buses, included in the internal campaign, may not have been corrected adequately prior to being shipped to customers.

    November 28, 2025: Nova Bus files 573 with NHTSA that a voluntary recall will be released to address the safety-related defect.
