Defect
Aston Martin The Americas (Aston Martin) is recalling certain 2024 Valkyrie vehicles. Incorrect length screws were used to attach the rear fuse box closing panel, which may result in damage to the wiring harness.
Risk / consequence
A damaged wiring harness can lose electrical power and result in the engine stalling or loss of headlights, power assisted steering, and other critical vehicle functions, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the fuse box closing panel screws and, if necessary, replace any damaged components, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2025. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-18-2044.
Chronology of events
- March 2025
1. 3rd of March 2025, a fuse box short circuit was reported during a regular vehicle service (VIN S70012). This opened an investigation.

2. 3rd of March 2025, Valkyrie VIN S70012 discovered to have incorrect 15.88 mm screws installed to the rear fuse box closing panel.

3. 3rd of March 2025, CAD was reviewed and a further potential clash was discovered with the three design intent 12.7 mm screws in the rear fuse box closing panel.

4. 4th March 2025, Technical Review Group (TRG) met to ascertain if the shorter 9.53 mm screw could be used in all locations in the rear fuse box closing panel, replacing the three 12.7 mm screws. A sweep of Valkyrie vehicles was organised to check vehicles under current AML control.

5. 5th March 2025 9.53 mm screw found to be suitable following CAD analysis.

6. 18th March 2025 a physical trial with the 9.53 mm screw was completed 7. By 19th March 2025, 46 vehicles had been inspected including initial VIN S70012. Of the further 45 vehicles, 24 were found to have longer screws incorrectly installed, but no damage to the wiring harness had occurred. 8. The Technical Review Group (TRG) group met regularly throughout the investigation.

9. 16th April 2025, The Critical Concerns Review Group(CCRG) reviewed the technical data and recommended the matter should be reviewed by the Recall Committee. 10. The Recall Committee convened on 30th April 2025 and determined that: a) a potential defect could occur in the vehicle population; b) this defect could lead to a potential safety risk; and c) a voluntary safety recall of all affected vehicles be implemented.
