Carbon Monoxide or Propane Detector Failure

REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Holiday Rambler Incline, and Fleetwood Altitude Class C motorhomes. The electrical components under the house entry steps may fail due to water intrusion, including the carbon monoxide (CO) or Liquid Propane (LP) detector.

Risk / consequence

A faulty CO or LP detector may not notify occupants of carbon monoxide or propane exposure, increasing the risk of injury or death.

Remedy

Dealers will install latch covers on the entry steps, mudflaps, and seal the compartment seams, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2025. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-322 8216. REV's number for this recall is 250618REV.

Chronology of events

1. May 20, 2025

   5/20/2025 – REV Recreation Group service team was driving a stock motor home after a rainstorm and during an inspection discovered water under the step storage compartment. 5/20 – REV Recreation began an installation investigation with Manufacturing. 5/21 – Request to review claim and complaint history was issued. 5/26 - A search of claim data produced a dealer claim of a unit that went through flood area and reported as an interior appliance not to work and another dealer request was to seal the step compartment with no mention of any subsequent issues. 5/27 - Stop ship of product was put into place by REV Recreation Group Engineering pending investigation. 5/30 – Vendor investigation inquiry initiated that supplies the housing, requested by REV Recreation Group Product Development/Engineering. 6/2 – Further testing being performed by REV Recreation Group Engineering due to limited field complaints and product in house. 6/6 – Results of in-house testing continued to determine where and how water maybe entering. 6/11 - Summary of investigation prepared. 6/13 – Sent to REV Recreation Group safety committee for review. 6/16 – The Safety Committee reviewed the investigation results and decided to proceed with a voluntary recall.
