Defect

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2024 Convoy, 2023-2026 GH1, 2025 GT1, and 2026 GH2 motorhomes equipped with 2.0 liter engine. The secondary alternator controller programming was not properly updated.

Risk / consequence

Improper programming can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will install a wire harness and update the alternator programming, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-145.

Chronology of events

  1. May 20, 2025

    5/20/2025: During the May Tiffin Safety Committee meeting the Class B engineering team introduced a new issue related to a dealer having issues with loss of power. Compliance begins investigation.

  2. Jun 5, 2025

    6/5/2025: Compliance meets with Class B Operations and Service teams regarding the possibility of the Wakespeed controller settings are too high and needs to be reprogrammed to activate the alternator when the battery charge drops to 90%.
