Defect
Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jay Flight SLX travel trailers. The furnace exhaust vent may be missing from the exterior wall, allowing carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle.
Risk / consequence
Unvented carbon monoxide increases the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and install a furnace exhaust vent as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2025. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901636.
Chronology of events
- Jul 2, 2025
On July 2, 2025 Jayco customer service contacted Jayco compliance regarding a service survey that was received from a consumer regarding a 2024 Jay flight SLX travel trailer where the furnace was not vented to the exterior of the unit. The consumer stated that the Carbon Monoxide detector alarm did sound off while the furnace was in use. Customer stated they took the unit to a Jayco dealer and the Furnace exhaust vent was installed. An incident case was created for compliance to review.

On July 14, 2025 the Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed the incident and determined it should be elevated to CPAC.

On August 6, 2025 the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC) met to discuss this incident and elevated it to the Safety Steering Committee.
