Defect
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain aftermarket Grote Headlamps with part numbers A66-41940-000, A66-41940-001, A66-41940-002, and A66-41940-003. A software error may cause the low beam headlights to illuminate improperly.
Risk / consequence
Insufficient low beam headlight illumination can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning October 2, 2026. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1036.
