Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2026 Range Rover Sport vehicles. The vehicle weight information listed on the certification label is incorrect.
Risk / consequence
Incorrect weight information on the certification label could lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the certification label, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 27, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D082. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning March 6, 2026.
Chronology of events
- November 2025
On 10 November 2025, following information being received from the vehicle assembly plant suggesting that incorrect information may have been printed on the certification label, a Vehicle Assembly Plant pre stop shipment meeting was held. The vehicle build records were reviewed and it was concluded that a number of vehicles were affected by this condition. It was established that all the affected vehicles were still in JLR control and therefore an Update Prior to Sale Notice (UPS) was issued to remedy vehicles prior to entry into commerce.
