Defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026 Impression fifth wheel recreational trailers. The insulation on the wires may have been improperly removed, exposing conductors.
Risk / consequence
Exposed conductors may cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and correct the wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-327-2716. Forest River's number for this recall is 83-2039.

On February 27, 2026, during a routine Standards Manager Audit of the manufacturing plant, it was discovered that the wire sheathing to either the 30AMP or 50AMP inlet may have been stripped inconsistently.
