Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2025 Can-Am Origin electric motorcycles. A fatigue failure of the front brake caliper support may occur and result in inoperative front brakes.

Risk / consequence

Front brake failure increases the risk of crash or injury.

Remedy

BRP will install a caliper support reinforcement kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 17, 2026. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov April 28, 2025.

Chronology of events

1. During ABS calibration testing conducted at a supplier on a MY2027 motorcycle equipped with higher(cid:0)grip tires, two front brake caliper support failures were reported on January 19 and 29, 2026. No accidents or injuries resulted from these events. Following receipt of the reports, BRP initiated an investigation. No damage was observed during laboratory and physical testing performed throughout the development of the MY2025 and MY2026 models, and no related issues were reported from field data. The investigation determined that an error in the input data used for BRP’s finite element analysis (FEA) led to an unintended fatigue failure risk in the front brake caliper support. As a result, repeated hard braking could cause failure at a lower threshold than originally intended.
