Defect

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Entegra Ethos recreational vehicles. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) and Tire Loading Information labels state an incorrect number of seat belt equipped seating positions, which can result in unbelted passengers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”

Risk / consequence

Unbelted passengers may not be properly restrained in a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy

Jayco will mail corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 22, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903653.

Chronology of events

  1. Mar 17, 2026

    On March 17, 2026, Jayco Customer Service emailed Jayco compliance department that the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) labels and the Tire and loading information labels state an incorrect number of seat belt equipped seating positions. An internal investigation began.

    On March 17, 2026, during the investigation, Jayco Inc. engineering confirmed that there was a Data entry error, which resulted in the incorrect number of seat belt equipped seating positions listed on the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) labels and the Tire and loading information labels.

  3. Mar 23, 2026

    On March 23, 2026, the Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed the incident and determined it should be elevated to CPAC.

  4. Apr 1, 2026

    On April 1, 2026, the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC) met to discuss this incident and elevated it to the Safety Steering Committee.

  5. Apr 7, 2026
