Defect

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Solis recreational vehicles. The liquid propane (LP) hose may be incorrectly routed over the exhaust heat shield.

Risk / consequence

Heat exposure may damage the hose. A damaged hose may leak fuel, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy

Dealers will reroute the LP hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 27, 2026. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 206.

Chronology of events

  1. Apr 16, 2026

    April 16, 2026: Winnebago was notified of an initial claim that the LP line failed from exposure to continuous heat due to improper routing above the heat shield. An investigation was subsequently opened.

  2. Apr 24, 2026

    April 24, 2026: The Brand Action Committee voted to escalate topic to the Product Safety Committee for review.

  3. Apr 27, 2026

    April 27, 2026: The Product Safety Committee voted to initiate a recall. As of May 5, 2026, Winnebago is aware of 2 claims regarding this issue. No injuries, deaths, or property damage have been reported.
