Defect

Turtle Top is recalling certain 2026 Terra Transit and Odyssey transit buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

Risk / consequence

An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026. Owners may contact Turtle Top customer service at 1-800-296-2105.

Chronology of events

  1. May 15, 2026

    Was informed by Q'Straint 5/15/2026. Inspected current stock and reviewed all shipped units till current date. Found six buses with the recalled restraints.
